Meet the Gang
Seth Bond- Seth is the son of Billy Ray and Angela Bond. 19 year old Seth is a graduate of Stone County High School, and now is attending Perk Jr College. Seth picked up the mandolin around the age of 15 and now with only a few years under his belt has become one astounding mandolin player. Along with mandolin playing Seth also is the lead singer of the majority of the songs performed by Railroad Creek. Along with his comedic personality on stage and his hard drive for bluegrass music, he really sets the mood for a good show. Besides playing and singing Seth has gone on to build his own instruments, with the help of a close friend of the group Mr. Tom Goree, who has provided Railroad Creek with several handcrafted instruments. Seth is also a very talented song writer and has written and co-written several songs played by the group. Seth is extremely talented and blessed. "And they glorified God in me"
Heather Bond- Heather is the sweet heart of the group as well as the boss. 16 year old Heather is the daughter of Billy Ray and Angela Bond, and also Seth's sister, Heather attends Stone County High School where she is currently a sophomore. For the past 3 years Heather has been playing bass for Railroad Creek and she does a very good job of it. In the year 2004 Heather decided that she wanted to try something new, so one day she picked up a banjo and has went to town with it ever since. Heather is currently the reigning Mississippi State Bluegrass Banjo Champion of the year, which is a high honor to have especially with having only been playing for a short two years. She really gives the "professionals" a run for their money. Heather also contributes her high harmony to the group as well as singing lead on a variety of songs played by Railroad Creek. Like several members of the group, Heather has become a very talented song writer and has written and co-written several songs. Obviously the Lord has blessed Heather to become the talented young woman she is today. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me."
Trent Wilkerson- Trent is the 16 year old son of Kenny Ray and Cammie Wilkerson. Trent is a sophomore at St. Martin High School where is very active and involved with his school where he is Vice-President and Drum Major. Trent dedicates a lot of his time to his school and music and the ministry of the Lord. Trent is the fiddle player for Railroad Creek. He is noted to play with a style of his own and is always wanting to try something new. Trent has been playing fiddle for only 3 years but is creditited to be one of the most talented young fiddle players in the south. Along with playing Trent contributes his tenor harmony to Railroad Creek's distinct sound. He also is one of the many talented song writers that Railroad Creek have to offer. Also, Trent has a very unique talent and that is a clogger(and by unique I mean he taught himself.) God has also blessed Trent and he hopes that he could always be a blessing to others. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock; and it shall be opened unto you."
Trevor Wilkerson- Trevor is the son of Kenny Ray and Cammie Wilkerson and in case you haven't caught on Trevor is Trent's identical twin. Trevor is 16 years old and is also involved with school. Trevor attends St .Martin High School where he is a part of the varsity defensive line. Apart from school Trevor plays the guitar for Railroad Creek. For 3 years Trevor has been keeping them all on beat with his hard, driving rhythm. Trevor, on stage, is one of the more quiet ones who rarely says anything and does NOT sing, but as soon as they get off stage the sarcasm flies. With his unique sense of humor he keeps them all rolling on the floor. They never know what he's going to say next. Trevor has also contributed to a couple of songs the group has written and prays to God that he can keep his eyes on the Lord. "For whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved"
Malachi Wilkerson- Malachi is the son of Sarah Hickman.18 year old Malachi is a senior at St. Martin High School and has future plans to go to college. Malachi has an amazing talent when it comes to the banjo. He has been playing for 3 years and has become quite a banjo picker. As well as the banjo Malachi, or better known as Wilkie, helps out Railroad Creek with the bass and singing lead on a couple of songs with his ''old time bluegrass'' sound. Malachi is also the self-proclaimed heart throb of bluegrass music, who thinks he looks like Hank Williams, but who am I to argue. Malachi's warm personality really comes out on stage he has been said to make you feel like you have known him for years. Like the others Malachi has also been blessed major by God's grace. "With God all things are possible"
